'Kore' is the lost sister, she moves between two worlds, carrying the hope of return.
She mirrors the stolen statue maiden taken by Elgin, or, in the myth, abducted by Hades—her absence brings Demeter’s grief and leaves the land barren. Yet with each return, life awakens again, and Kore becomes both maiden of spring and queen of the underworld, always existing between light and shadow, presence and absence.
